In an idyllic valley southeast of Graz, between traditional farms and smaller settlements, lies Villa K. The rural surroundings and the special location on the edge of the slope, overlooking the valley, were the starting point and inspiration for this home.

The house is designed like a viewing platform on the slope: A cut in the slope forms a platform, a surface on which the house can unfold.
This platform partially spans a very large striking pitched roof, a modern interpretation of the traditional farm buildings of the surrounding area, forming the actual house.
Under this roof, as individual freestanding volumes, are the functions of the villa. The remaining areas of the platform provide space for pool, terraces and gardens. All rooms have direct access to the terrace areas surrounding the house or thus have their own terrace.
Lightness, openness, a smooth transition from inside to outside, the magnificent views and idyllic surroundings but also traditional elements and references characterize this ensemble.
